Canal side city centre living for the retirement community in the historic city of Chester.

A modern interpretation of industrial architecture within a heritage setting, our six-storey brickwork façade village sits directly fronting both City Road and the Shropshire Union Canal.

Lower ground floor of the village centre opens out onto the south facing recreational canal corridor, directly accessed from the more vibrant street level. It boasts a hub of facilities including a gym, bistro, hair salon and therapy rooms, all of which are open to members of the wider community.

Located directly above the village facilities, the 72 bed care home at levels 01 – 03 benefits from a more elevated position, with all bedrooms and living areas having either stunning views across the historic skyline of Chester or views directed over the canal.

The uppermost floors above the care village feature 23 apartments, a combination of one and two-bed units, all accessed via the village hub providing independent living for the over 55’s in a city centre context.

The Nursery in Belong, the village's 25-place intergenerational nursery, featuring a secure sensory nature and play garden, provides a high-quality care and learning environment for children from birth to five years, designed to offer shared learning experiences and opportunities for children, families and older people.

The village welcomed its first residents in 2022.
