Academy

Academy

Our Academy nurtures the next generation of architects, designers and technologists. Participants benefit from structured learning, mentoring schemes and graduate training programmes delivered through partnerships with schools, colleges and universities. We’ve been training individuals through this unique initiative since 2008.

Mentoring

Mentoring

Our mentoring scheme bridges the gap between university learning and architecture in practice. Students in the Academy spend time with our experienced architects, architectural assistants and technologists to help build on-the-job knowledge and an understanding of RIBA work stages. Sessions are tailored towards the needs of each individual and previous participants have taken jobs and work placements at Pozzoni.

Schools Partnerships

Schools Partnerships

Through partnerships with schools, we regularly deliver architecture career talks and ‘introduction to architecture’ sessions for high school students. We also run careers conventions, with talks by our qualified architects. If you’d like to find out more about partnering your school with Pozzoni, please contact Emma Tanti at emma.tanti@pozzoni.co.uk or on 0161 928 7848.

Work Experience

Work Experience

We have an established work experience programme in place. We welcome school and college age students who may be thinking of a future career in architecture to take part in this. The programme runs from both our Altrincham and Brighton studios and participants deliver a fixed, week-long mini-architectural project of their own. If you’d like to find out more about work experience at Pozzoni, please contact Emma Tanti at emma.tanti@pozzoni.co.uk or on 0161 928 7848.

University Partnerships

University Partnerships

We work in partnership with several universities to deliver regular tutoring sessions, workshops and seminars for their students. We also collaborate with universities and students through work experience, summer placements and insight days. We currently have successful and ongoing collaborations with the Manchester School of Architecture, Nottingham Trent University and Westminster University across both Architecture and Architectural Technology degree courses.

Graduate Training

Graduate Training

Pozzoni supports graduates of the Architecture and Architectural Technology courses on which it partners with unique learning agreements at Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the RIBA qualification stages. These help graduates to gain their qualifications and set them up for their careers. Every student is partnered with a mentor from the start of their placement and we offer mentoring sessions, exam practice workshops and mock exams as part of the Part 3 process.

CPD

CPD

Knowledge and expertise are at the core of what we do. The Academy is committed to the development of all staff and students within the practice as well as externally. As a practice we hold regular open forums, design review pin-up events and team building activities for everyone to be a part of, as well as seminars and knowledge sharing events. In doing so, we are continuously developing outstanding talent that continues up through the ranks at Pozzoni and elsewhere.
