WCHG Head Office – Projects

This new office building brought together the spread-out local offices of a housing provider into one central location, creating both a landmark architectural design and a focal point for the community. It accommodates 150 staff, while also functioning as a ‘one-stop’ centre for the client’s housing tenants.

A series of consultations with the client’s working groups helped to develop the design and space-planning requirements. The need for both a corporate headquarters and a local, accessible resource centre has been addressed with the separation of public and private areas. Ease of accessibility for both staff and visitors was also a key design issue.

The completed scheme allows for greater staff efficiency and working practices, while also serving the wider neighbourhood with an easily accessible community facility.
