Nuffield Fitness and Wellbeing Gym – Projects

The team was commissioned by Nuffield Health to explore three different concept schemes for the refurbishment and upgrade of the central Covent Garden pool and spa facility, with the opportunity to introduce ideas for new features to upgrade the existing basement lane swimming pool, enhancing wetside facilities in line with the dryside upgrades.

From this initial exercise, and subsequent development of the options into an
affordable scheme, the design was developed, resulting in a successful ‘pool model’, which has since been implemented at Nuffield’s ‘Premier’ site at Crawley and has since been utilised at another of the central London sites.

The facility incorporated the refurbishment of the existing basement pool and creation of enhanced spa features, new LED scene-setting lighting scheme and stretch fabric ceiling, new pool features (massage jets and spa to existing hydrotherapy pool), plus branded finishes and signage.
