Our urban regeneration scheme, shortlisted for the Mid-Sussex Design Awards, created a large mixed-use scheme on a formerly brownfield site surrounding the town’s railway station. It comprises a supermarket, a fully refurbished station with a forecourt and a new multi-storey car park.

The scheme has transformed the area by taking a challenging, sloping site and creating space for a Waitrose supermarket with a café and wine bar plus additional, separate, retail space. The railway station now offers 1,100 car parking spaces for rail users and 210 spaces for supermarket customers, with improvements made to the wider public realm.

Located less than an hour from central London, the redevelopment has created a new gateway for the town and an improved user experience with increased accessibility, active frontages and a landmark building.
