This dedicated teaching facility will provide specialist education for children and young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism. It comprises teaching classrooms, a range of therapy suites, a multi-use hall, a Performing Arts Centre and a full-size all-weather pitch.

Use of the Performing Arts Centre will be shared with the existing secondary school and the all-weather pitch will be available for community use. An external courtyard provides space for sheltered outdoor therapy / learning, while a glazed circulation route encloses the courtyard for views and ease of access.

The over-riding design aims for this project were to create a high-quality new building that responds to its locality and one that provides a calm environment for pupils and staff.

We are so delighted to be moving into this amazing building which has exceeded our expectations. The build will facilitate the development of a first class education for an ambitious and promising set of students and has provided an inspiring start for all.
