Range and Pennine Court, Macclesfield
To reinvigorate and breathe new life into two typical 1960's tower blocks. The blocks, both internally and externally, were in desperate need of full refurbishment to extend the building lifespan in both fabric and structure, for a further 30 years. They are a dominant feature within the Macclesfield skyline with views to both the Peak District and Macclesfield town centre.
The external re-cladding and re-modelling should create positive and more aesthetically pleasing buildings to the wider people of Macclesfield, and also an improved internal environment for the buildings residents and visitors alike.
Range and Pennine Court has been shortlisted in the RICS Awards 2012 in the Regeneration Category.
