Harmony Street, Glodwick, Oldham

This is phase three of a larger scheme.

The design creates a mix of properties from two to five bedroom family homes for the local population. The houses are developed to a striking, contemporary design with a high quality specification and finish. A 10% on-site generation of renewable energy is achieved by incorporating Nuaire 'Sunwarm' solar ventilation technology. The houses are highly energy efficient with a timber frame construction and achieve the client's aim of providing a wider choice of housing in this part of Oldham.

The project is mixed tenure, with Phase 3 being a Joint Venture with WPHA providing shared ownership, and Wiggett Homes providing homes for outright sale.

The project won the North west LABC Housing Award 2009, and was finalist in the MEN Best Homes Awards.
