Redclyffe Building, Manchester
Xaverian Sixth Form College commissioned us to carry out a three phase campus improvement works. The second and third phases are to carry out a new build extension at the Redclyffe Building in two sections. The Redclyffe building houses the sport, drama and music departments. The extension is to provide a new entrance, six new classrooms, change facility and gym area. The project will also reorganise the existing drama/music facilities to provide improved facilities, including a suite of recording rooms to a high acoustic standard.
The new extension has been designed to provide a new facade to the dated 1970s building and provide a 'fresh face' to Park Road and the view over the main campus. This is achieved by a modern palette of white render, timber briese soleil and PPC aluminium curtain walling.
