Heath View wins Residential Development Category in RICS North West Property Awards

16 May 2011

We are delighted to announce Heath View, Congleton has won the Residential Development Category in the RICS North West Property Awards 2011. The prestigious property contest, dubbed the ‘Property Oscars’, was held at The Point, Lancashire Cricket Club and celebrates inspirational initiatives in the land, property and construction sectors. 44 projects from the North West region were shortlisted from an original entry of 70, with nine accolades presented by Bill Turnbull of BBC Breakfast TV, won on the night.

Heath View is an extra-care housing scheme of 45 apartments for the elderly with flexible communal and care facilities in a stimulating environment. The self- contained one and two-bed apartments are designed to provide a home for life, with 24 hour access to care.

Owner, Plus Dane Housing, has maximised the opportunity for the design to create a focus for this supported housing in Congleton, by allowing the facilities and support to also benefit their other elderly residents, as well as the local community. Visitors can use the cafe, hair and beauty salon and communal lounges facilitating regular, informal contact between residents, their families and the wider community.

John Cooke, partner here at Pozzoni comments “This is the second year running that Pozzoni have won this award, reflecting our commitment to quality and sustainability in design and construction. Heath View is the result of true partnership working. We were able to further progress the Extra-care model that has developed over several projects, and we are particularly pleased with how happy the residents are with their new homes”.

The Interior design concept was provided by Pozzoni Interiors, the Developer was J&S Seddon and the Project Manager was Davis Langdon LLP.
