Best Healthcare Building in Wigan Council Awards

We are delighted to announce that alongside The Cruden Group our Belong building in Atherton has won the Best Healthcare Building in Wigan Councils Building Excellence Awards.
The Building Excellence awards are in their eighth year, and, operated by Wigan Council, demonstrates the council's recognition of high standards of building work across the borough. The awards are made to building projects ranging from small domestic works to major commercial developments, which achieve high standards of construction, workmanship and customer satisfaction.
It was stated that Belong, Atherton is "A most impressive and well designed accessible development, offering excellent facilities for the residents and community".
At the same ceremony Belong, Atherton was Commended in the Urban Design Awards New Buildings category. For this award it was stated that Belong, Atherton is "A striking new care home development in Atherton. The overall mass of the building has been broken down with the use of bays and balconies. External materials include the sympathetic use of brickwork, render and cedar boarding. This development ensures that residents remain part of the Atherton Community".
The Award Ceremony was held at Wigan Cricket Club on Wednesday 1st February 2012.
